DRUTHERS
Memories without an outlet are a mass of uncoded messages
lazing around in maziness of the mind, like an unused
clutch of wires in a mesh of sheepshanks elsewhere.
The prodrome was the smile and the ardor in your canthus.
Anesthetized by the notion of togetherness, in my stupor
I vocalized a vision. Do I blame the stupor? Or the anesthetist?
I have chosen to exculpate myself. That is the good part
about clearing wreckage, we choose what stokes us.
