Producing two print issues per year The Stray Branch looks to publish well crafted material from experienced writers who are serious about their craft. Looking for honest, personal, blunt, edgy, raw, real life material that is related to the human condition known as existence in all its dark, flawed, secret self exposed in the wounds that bleed upon the page and leave a scar within the skull of the reader.
The Stray Branch began as an on-line publication then quickly ventured into the world of print with the Spring/Summer 2009 issue which was printed in my home office and put together by hand, stapled with a card stock cover.
I created The Stray Branch in order to offer other poets, like me, the dark poets, the confessional poets, the rebels, the rogues, the haunted whose work is often over looked by the bigger, mainstream markets a place to showcase their talents.
